Chasing Tiffany project is glad to present the debut record called Decadance EP.
During a long week in July the band was working on one of the best studios in Saint-Petersburg. We worked with Michael Spek, a sound operator from Holland, who did everything to make this record sound on a high level of quality.
The project prepared three songs for you, enclosing lots of work and effort in them and a big part of ourselves.
In the name of the release we combined two words: decadence and dance in an attempt to call this creation the “music of the sad dances”. The tracks have that special atmosphere, and the lyrics will tell you about feelings, parting and friendship.
Very soon an exclusive video about recording the EP will be presented. Everyday work of the project and the backstage life.

We would like to thank these people for their help in our work:
Michael Spek, Natalie Larochkina, Victor Arhipov, Tanya, Dmitry Semenov, Novohijin Eugene, Alexander Chernishev, Nick Klimenko, Maya, Andrew Panteleev, Theodore Duhno, Vecheslav Nikolaev, Victor Korhov, all our relatives and everyone, who was waiting for this record.

Special gratitude goes to Converse-Club.

If the file leaks of Explosions in the Sky and Do Make Say Think are any indication, I must say that 2007 is shaping up to be a good year for post-rock.

Silver Mt. Zion - 9.05.06 - Le National, Montreal (256kbps VBR).zip (about 189 megs)

The set was a song or two shorter that previous shows of the last couple years here, but then again they just came back from a pretty considerable tour in the states! The show, although "only" two hours long, was absolutelly fantastic anyway! The band showed no sign of fatigue behind their instruments and they (and the audience) were in good spirits!

Blind Blind Blind was as loud as ever! Although not the complete version, the band also treated us with Could've Moved Mountains! Though I missed the drums you can hear in past bootlegs of said song, it was a great piece! Scott's drumming has improved and expanded since last year, and is intense as ever on one of the longest tape of Ring Them Bells in recent memory. Efrim and Ian, between beautiful guitar work, discuss ways on how the audience should entertain their physical health through summersaults during the chorus, among other things. My minor infatuation towards Sophie hasnt really receded, and I love the glissando-y violin in the bit just before the instrumental solo part of One Million Died To Make This Sound! The song was lowered in tempo, but the improvements the band brought to it in three months makes it more than worth it!

ZIP included pictures, enjoy!

I have recently started a message board dedicated to A Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Do Make Say Think, Fly Pan Am. pretty much constellation records artists at the moment.

I'm hoping to start a small community to discuss these amazing bands, so if you would like to also then join up and post away.

5 trks, 27 mins. Sandro Perri is perhaps better known as the songwriter behind polmo polpo and Glissanro 70, here we have some expanded live band workouts and rippling improv bliss.

>> Eric Chenaux
* Dull Lights
* LP | CD
* Constellation
* CST043-1

9 trks, 49 mins. Sublime album pairing up the Toronto song - smith with collaborators Martin Arnold & Nick Fraser.Wistful thoughtful vocals, hushed guitars and fluid percussion.

>> Lullabye Arkestra
* Ampgrave
* LP | CD
* Constellation
* CST044-1

8 trks, 35 mins. Garage soul rave-up from Justin of Do Make Say Think and Katia Taylor - a far-reaching ambitious record of killer jams, barely controlled chaos and joyous abandon.

Thank you to Carla and the opening band Dead Science. All sets were fantastic
and although the venue wasn't too full, everyone looked like they had a good time.
